The American Institute of Architects Minnesota tells its 3D stories with 2D design
In 2005, the American Institute of Architects Minnesota selected Tilka Design as its communication design partner to research and then develop a plan for the organization’s three communication vehicles: Architecture Minnesota magazine, a member newsletter, and website. After Tilka Design-led research and analysis, the resulting goal was clear: to communicate the value of architecture.
The redesign of Architecture Minnesota magazine is intended to engage a broad public audience of design-philes, influencers, and allied fields. The masthead and cover images create a strong presence on the newsstand and online. The member newsletter, renamed Matrix by Tilka Design and the AIA staff, now includes member specific information previously included in the magazine. For the AIA website, Tilka Design reworked the navigation and suggested a multi-user approach in order to take advantage of interactivity possibilities and engage public interest. Tilka Design continues to design Architecture Minnesota magazine.
